The Regulations on the Circulation Administration of Prescription and Non-Prescription Drugs (Interim) was issued on Dec. 28, 1999, and took effect on Jan. 1, 2000. It is formulated in order to promote the process of classified management of the circulation of prescription drugs and non-prescription drugs, strengthen the circulation management, and ensure that people use drugs safely, effectively, conveniently, and timely.
